Cottage Goods
“It’s a Girl Thing” At
Cottage Goods...
The minute you walk into this store you know
it’s different. Just an hours drive north of Duluth, Cottage Goods in
Eveleth offers an eclectic mix of vintage and new home furnishings and gifts
including furniture, linens and quilts, glassware, dishes, teacups, garden
items, clocks, wrought iron, lamps and chandeliers and pewter.
“Until
you’ve seen the shop it’s difficult to describe” says owner Lynn Damberg,
“but once women have been in here they come back.” Gorgeous purses, beaded
shawls, hats, jewelry and accessories can also be found among Cottage Goods
treasures. “What makes the store so unique is the way we combine the old
and the new.”
In addition
you’ll find the work of over 20 local artists including a silversmith,
photographer, jewelry artists, furniture maker, watercolorist, fabric
artists, fiber artists who felt purses and hats, a painter who personalizes furniture and
glassware and fences, and a stained glass artist who does custom lamps,
cupboard doors, windows, curtains, and seasonal work.
And if that’s
not enough to tempt you into the shop, Cottage Goods also offers high
quality items taken on consignment. “Our stock changes weekly.” There are
open houses and monthly sales. You can call the store to inquire about an
item and we’d be happy to ship it to you! Housed in a building over 100
years old with original decorative tin on the walls, it’s just a wonderful
place to shop.
